rejuvenation program. Our new Fraxel™ SR1500 laser has a 30
percent deeper treatment effect. This means that each treatment
will trigger a greater amount of new collagen production to more

Olympic Dermatology &
Laser was the first practice in the state of Washington to offer
Fraxel™ skin rejuvenation in January 2005. This new science was
developed at Harvard University's Wellman Laboratories in
connection with breakthrough technology from Reliant
Technologies. Each Fraxel™ Laser Treatment improves both the top
layer and the bottom layer of your skin. The rejuvenated top
layer is less wrinkled and has fewer age spots and a more
youthful skin tone. The rejuvenated deeper skin layer feels
softer, smoother and tighter. In addition, the Fraxel™ laser
will also improve the appearance of scars due to acne or trauma,
and can normalize skin tone in patients with pigmentary
disorders such as melasma.A Fraxel Laser Treatment is
performed in our office using primarily
topical anesthesia. Each treatment takes about 60 to 90 minutes,
depending on the size of the area(s) being treated. Because the
procedure does not "ablate" or remove the outer skin layer,
patients can
resume routine activities shortly after treatment. Swelling is
